Watson Ethernet Multiservice (LTU Card)

PRODUCT DETAIL

Watson Ethernet Multiservice modems give Carriers the possibility to provide both nextgeneration Ethernet and legacy TDM services from a single device over 1, 2, 3 or 4 copper pairs. Take the access to mobile base stations: fast growing 3G data applications call for cost-efficient and high-bandwidth Ethernet connections while voice traffic and access to collocated 2G GSM base stations require TDM-based E1 circuits. Businesses require transparent Ethernet services for their data communications needs and want ISDN Primary Rate interfaces to their legacy PABX at the same time.

Watson Ethernet Multiservice supports payload rates from 192 kbps to 22.8 Mbps that can be freely split between TDM and Ethernet services. The deployment range can be extended with the Watson  Regenerator. SNMP-based remote management of Watson Ethernet Multiservice modems is possible with the Watson Subrack Control Unit SCU.

Watson Ethernet Multiservice uses the same mechanics as all other Watson modems. Mixed subracks with Watson TDM, Watson Ethernet and Watson Ethernet Multiservice modems are possible. Mixed subracks can be managed with a single SCU. Watson Ethernet Multiservice is one more way Schmid brings you innovation and technology leadership you can rely on for all of your transmission needs. All backed by Swiss quality and by worldwide service and support.
