The Watson TDM family is the latest generation of SHDSL modems from Schmid Telecom, a leading supplier of DSL modems for over a decade. Watson TDM tabletop modems enable Carriers,Service Providers and Campus Operators to use a single modem type for a wide variety of services on 1 or 2 copper pairs. Watson TDM is the system of choice for PRA access, interconnection of LAN or PBX networks, ISP data connections and Radio Access Networks for 2G/3G mobile base stations. Watson TDM tabletop modems deliver longer reach, higher reliability, higher throughput and more flexibility for a very competitive price. Watson TDM’s multi-speed capability allows Carriers to trade rate for range and adapt to the existing copper plant. Watson TDM tabletop modems support payload rates from 192 kbps to 11.4 Mbps.
Watson TDM tabletop modems are fully compatible with the successful and proven family of Watson 5 SHDSL modems from Schmid. Existing Watson 5 installations can easily be extended with Watson TDM modems, even mixed link configurations are possible. All mechanics and accessories that are available for Watson 5 are compatible with Watson TDM.
Watson TDM is supported by Schmid’s industry leading DSL management application, the Watson Element Manager WEM-2.
